Affiliate Disclosure

TactiCoolGear.com is a participant in various affiliate marketing programs. This page explains how we earn revenue and how it affects (or doesn't affect) our recommendations.

How We Earn

When you click on certain links to retailers on our site and make a purchase, we may receive a commission. This is how affiliate marketing works—the retailer pays us a small percentage for sending them a customer. This comes at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not.

This revenue helps us cover the costs of research, development, and hosting. It allows us to keep our content free and continue providing gear recommendations.

Our Partners

We work with several affiliate networks and programs, including:

  • Amazon Associates — Amazon's affiliate program
  • eBay Partner Network — eBay's affiliate program
  • Skimlinks — An affiliate network that works with thousands of retailers
  • Individual brand affiliate programs — Direct partnerships with specific retailers

Skimlinks Integration

TactiCoolGear uses Skimlinks to automatically convert certain product links into affiliate links. When you click a link to a supported retailer through our site, Skimlinks tracks that you came from TactiCoolGear.

For detailed information about how Skimlinks collects and uses data, please see their Privacy Policy.

Our Promise

Editorial independence is non-negotiable.

Our product recommendations are based on community consensus and real-world performance—not on which products pay the highest commissions. We pick products first, then add affiliate links. We never add a product to The Grid because of affiliate potential.

Put simply: if a product isn't genuinely recommended by the tactical community, it won't appear on our site—regardless of how much commission we could earn from it.

We also link to retailers that may not have affiliate programs at all. If the best place to buy something is a retailer we don't have a relationship with, we'll still link there because serving you is more important than earning a commission.

FTC Disclosure

In accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR Part 255), we disclose our affiliate relationships clearly:

  • This dedicated disclosure page (you're reading it now)
  • Per-page disclosure banners on pages containing affiliate links
  • Site-wide disclosure in our footer

We believe in transparency. If you ever have questions about whether a link is an affiliate link, assume it is—and know that using it supports the site at no cost to you.
